Meet Our Team

Russ Scott, President

Russ has 50 years of experience in floor covering, starting at 15 in a carpet warehouse. After moving to Houston in 1976, he worked as a “measure man” and developed a passion for Persian rugs. In 1984, he returned to Memphis to manage a floor covering department and later became an Armstrong distribution rep for 10 years. Russ joined Kenny Floor Covering 28 years ago as an AE and was recently promoted to President.

Dennis Perez, AE

Dennis started his flooring career 37 years ago in Seattle. After relocating to Memphis to marry his wife, he spent 15 years as an installer at Kenny Floor Covering before moving into an estimator role. For the last 15 years, he has excelled as an AE Rep, with a focus on senior living, education, and corporate environments.

Mike Johnson, AE

Mike began his flooring career in 1985 and joined Kenny Floor Covering in 1989 as an installer. He transitioned to project manager in 2009 and became an AE in 2020. Mike serves as our Branch Brand Champion and has won the Chairman’s Award in both 2022 and 2023. With a strong focus on the healthcare industry, he represents the Diverzify brand with integrity, honesty, and excellent customer communication. Outside of work, you’ll find Mike on a motocross track.

Phil House, AE

Phil became an AE for Kenny Floor Covering in 2022 after 20 years as an installer, including time as Shaw’s head installer in Memphis. With 16 years of experience in sales and estimating, Phil is a dedicated family man and an avid collector of art and baseball memorabilia.

Jason Capps, AE

Jason began his flooring career in 1996, started subcontracting in 2000, and joined Kenny Floor Covering in 2017. After assisting on large projects, he became an AE in 2023. Jason enjoys family time, especially with his wife and kids, and is an avid winter hunter.

Kim Capps, Office Manager

Kim joined Kenny Floor Covering in January 2008 as a bookkeeper and later became the Office Manager. She holds an associate’s degree in accounting and a bachelor’s in Business Management. With accounting moving to corporate, Kim is now focusing on procurement, billing, and job closings.
